Turkey and Chicks
In Our Brooder
Right Now

Two of our little turkeys,
we have 10 more eggs in the incubator.
We have some that are scheduled to hatch
this weekend, on May 5th.

Here is a little group shot.
Can you believe the two yellow/white
birds were hatched out on the same day!
The one of the left is a serama,
the one on the right is an EE.
Look at the size difference in these guys!
You can also see the two turkey and another
EE in there as well.

A better pic to see the size difference
between the serama and EE.

And this is a better pic of my other EE,
I got this little chick from an egg given to me
by a good friend.
It came from a beautiful blue egg.
It looks like it is going to have a full beard and muffs.
Can't wait to see all these little guys grown up!

Lots of eggs in the incubator so come back
to see what more we have hatch out.
I also have eggs for hatching available for sale,
and chicks available for sale.

Hatching Chicks!

I always try to take some video
and get a few photos of my chicks when they are hatching.
To me it's just so fun and educational to
watch these little guys make their way into the world.

Here is a short video at the very end of my last chick hatch.

I have a few more hatches coming up as well.

Hatch Date: Whats Hatching
5/1/12 Serama
5/5/12 Turkey
5/10/12 Serama & Easter Eggers
5/13/12 Serama & Turkey

So stay tuned for more videos and pics!

Muscovy Ducks & Chicken Swap

We had a great turnout at the swap in Hephzibah.
We got a trio of Blue Fawn Muscovy ducks while we were there.
Our ducks are approximately 2 months old.
Some muscovy will start laying at
about 6 months old, so we could have eggs as
early as this summer.
Once we have eggs from our ducks
we will offer them for sale for eating.
I will also incubate some and once fertility
is determined will offer hatching eggs for sale as well.

There was a lot of vendors at the swap,
there were chickens, ducks, pigs, rabbits and pigs.
Lots of people showed up and did a lot of browsing.
Barnharts did a great job of setting up for us,
it was very organized and easy to navigate and set up.

Please visit my For Sale page
to see the animals that did not
get sold at the swap.
There are still several birds that need
to find homes.
